Week 9 Post 1 (Reflection)

The process of creating the film introduction for the film "Trip" was a very long process. It is interesting to look back and see just how many adaptations the story went through before it became the final product.

Originally, we wanted to create a film to represent teenage social anxiety and represent the difference between a teen's reality and actuality in any given social situation. After hard deliberation, there was no way to trigger actual fear with a topic like that. Eventually, we ended up with the story of a kid, who one day was peer pressured into taking a substance that he had never heard of before. Being that he had never taken illegal substances before, he was very nervous to do so. Once he takes it, he has a very bad reaction to it, which the introduction shows.

At the very end, a random man can be seen entering the scene and picking up the remainder of the substance that our main character had left behind. The rest of the movie can pick up from there, showing either from the bystander's perspective or our main character's perspective on just how harmful drugs can be.
